Hello everyone! My name is Tiger Zane, and I'm a singer-songwriter in the beautiful northwest coast city of Seattle, WA.

I’ve been making music and performing around Seattle and Nashville for many years. My songs are influenced by folk, classical flute which I learned as a kid, years of living in France, and now a year of being sequestered at home during a pandemic. After pouring all my thoughts and feelings into songwriting, into stories, into melodies, the only thing left is to share the sounds in my head and my heart with all of you.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my new studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Cairo Marques-Neto in Boston, MA. Cairo is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Cairo and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing a demo version of one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Feel the Warm,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund this initial recording process for "Feel the Warm" on my own, to create an album of songs with full production and studio quality, costs add up quickly. This campaign will give us the opportunity to collaborate with a new team of studio professionals and make great art together. The more we raise, the more songs I can record! Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Cairo and I and Jeff (my bass player), will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is one of the funnest parts! We’ll go into the studio with Cairo and the musicians to lay down the tracks for each song that will emerge as an album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

This project means so much to me!

Music moves and unites people. It illuminates the feelings I can’t always convey in conversation. During the pandemic, I’ve had oodles of time to think about the impact I have on my family, community, and the world. I never truly understood how connected we are on this planet until I realized that there is nowhere on earth to get away from the pandemic! WOW! 

It is time to lift our spirits after this dark time.

Music can cross the barriers of time and place. It is a way for me to come out from behind the walls of my little house and self to meet people in a deeper way-- to share beauty, hope and perhaps inspiration.

While I’ve recorded my music in the past, this record feels especially poignant. The world is changing so fast, and I want to give you the gift of the new music I’ve written during this past year along with a few favorites that have never been recorded before! With your support, I will create something new and wonderful that we will have made together.
