Hello Little Witches! We are Kristina and Justina and we’re known as “The Stinas”, two internet friends from 2 different states who decided to join forces on this musical project together.

The tenacious duo Justina and Kristina, affectionately known as "The Stinas", are here to bring exciting news to all their devoted listeners and newcomers alike. The journey that began as a virtual friendship, fostered through their shared love for witchy content and the cult-favorite movie classic, "Practical Magic" has evolved into a creative partnership that's taking them on an enchanting musical adventure. In the digital age, the power of connection knows no bounds, and Justina and Kristina's story exemplifies this. These two kindred spirits crossed paths in the vast landscape of YouTube, each creating their own magical content for their channels. It wasn't until their mutual fascination with "Practical Magic" sparked a conversation, that the seeds of a remarkable collaboration were sown. Little did Kristina know, Justina had a deep passion for songwriting long before her YouTube days, and was already well versed in the musical world.

In February of 2022 after Kristina had heard some of Justina’s original music for the first time, she reached out to the songstress with an audacious idea: to transform Alice Hoffman's beloved witchy tale of "Practical Magic" into a musical concept EP. Justina, despite having taken a hiatus from writing music for the better part of a decade, was instantly captivated by the notion. With newfound enthusiasm, she dusted off her guitar and penned the very first song for this extraordinary project on the very same day that Kristina had planted the bug in her ear. It was as though destiny itself had orchestrated this fateful encounter, uniting two creative souls with a spark of inspiration. Soon after writing that first song, the floodgates had opened. Just a couple short months after starting the project, they had about twenty new songs in their repertoire.

With each song they wrote together, Justina and Kristina's bond deepened, as well as the desire to get their music into the ears of others who shared the same love of the Practical Magic story.

As their shared vision blossomed, Justina propositioned Kristina to start their own fandom podcast on which they could showcase some of their original music and talk about all things Practical Magic. Although hesitant at first, Kristina eventually couldn’t say no! Within weeks of the initial proposal, the girls had hit the ground running and debuted Magnolia Street Podcast on streaming platforms, where they began to cultivate an audience of Practical Magic fans from all over the world. The Stinas invite listeners to embark on a magical journey down the blue stone path to Magnolia Street, as they continue to share their demos and an in depth peek into their songwriting process via musical episodes they deem “Song-i-sodes”. Their collaboration has been a whirlwind of inspiration and creativity, demonstrating the incredible power of storytelling, music, magic, and the enduring connections that can emerge from mutual passions. So, stay tuned, as The Stinas plan to bring Alice Hoffman’s enchanting tale of love, loss, and sisterhood to life through the musical interpretations on their debut EP "Magnolia Street: Volume 1".

We've got a collection of great songs ready to record -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating our first ever, professionally produced studio EP.

This campaign is raising funds for our professionally recorded EP with Mike Davidson in Boston, MA. Mike is a Boston-based producer and engineer with 15+ years of experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, we’re digging into our original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life.

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Magnolia Street”, and you can check it out below!

While we were able to fund the recording process for "Magnolia Street" on our own, to create an EP of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of the project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We’ll start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the EP, hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements, and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this EP. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the EP will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change our lives.

Transforming our songs from acoustic demos into radio-ready polished versions of themselves would open a lot of doors for us in terms of future opportunities, namely possible future stage productions. We strongly believe that the world deserves only the best we can give: a professionally recorded, high-quality EP that sounds the way we have always envisioned our music should sound. For these reasons and more, this project is critical to our future growth as a musical duo. Our families and friends have all been incredibly nurturing of our talents. Without that early encouragement and support, this band and our first fully produced single “Magnolia Street” would not have even been possible.
