WOW! Thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign so far! We are so incredibly grateful and excited to make this album for you. Because we’ve made so much amazing progress so quickly, we are hoping to add a BONUS TRACK! Any contribution goes a long way to make this album bigger and better than ever. Hello world! We are The Q-Tip Bandits, an Indie Pop band here in the beautiful city of Boston, MA.

By the early days of 2018, The Q-Tip Bandits had emerged as a three piece alternative band. In the following month we sold out our first ticketed show and spent the rest of the year gigging and touring. As we began to meet more people and hear vulnerable stories from people who have connected with our music, we knew we had something precious to share. The mission of the band remains the same. We want to connect and help as many people as possible with our music and to have our music carry this message: that true happiness doesn’t come in the form of light that is devoid of darkness, but it comes in the balance of the two. 

These songs have been patiently marinating, and the time has come for us to take our artistry to the next level. We feel that we have finally found our family and our sound, and we are so excited to share more of our music and ourselves with you! … and to do so, we need your help!

We've got a collection of great songs ready to record -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating our first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for our professionally recorded album with Mike Davidson in Boston, MA. Mike is a Boston-based producer and engineer with 15+ years of experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, we’re digging into our original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Daisy,” and you can check it out below!

While we were able to fund the recording process for "Daisy" on our own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of the project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We’ll start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album, hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements, and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change our lives.

Having a professionally recorded album to share with our fans and fans to come will not only expand the horizon of possibilities for us, but also strengthen our bonds with those around us who already support and love what we do. More high-quality recordings will open the door to growing our fanbase and playing bigger shows with more established acts. More importantly, it will mean more chances to connect, and more chances to connect means more chances to make a positive difference in someone’s life. This is what makes being an artist worthwhile.
