Hello world! We are The Jeebs, a band in the beautiful city of West Lafayette, Indiana.

The Jeebs formed in the winter of 2019 when lead vocalist Zack Cooper gathered together bassist Sean Gomez, lead guitarist Eric Johnson, and drummer Danny Ainley. We soon realized a shared vision of creating unique music with a combined style of blues, alternative, and psychedelic rock, which when fused together gives The Jeebs our modern and original sound. 

In the last year, we set up our own home studio where we have been recording, producing, and releasing our own music. As great as this is, we have never recorded in a professional setting until now, and we are all looking forward to this amazing opportunity at Plaid Dog Recording and to realizing our songs’ full potentials! In order to make this vision “Be True,” we need your help!

We've got a collection of great songs ready to record -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating our first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Bryan Fennelly in Boston, MA. Bryan is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, we’re digging into our original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Be True,” and you can check it out below!

While we were able to fund the recording process for "Be True" on our own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We’ll start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album, hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements, and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change our lives.

A professionally recorded and produced album would open a lot of doors for The Jeebs, especially in securing larger venues and acquiring a wider listenership. We've made demo quality recordings in the past, but the world deserves only the best we can give: a professionally recorded, high-quality, mastered album that sounds the way we've always envisioned our music should sound. Not only that, but as our debut album this will be our permanent first impression in the music industry. For those reasons and more, this project is critical to The Jeebs’ future growth as a band.

Our families and friends have all been incredibly nurturing of our talents and ambitions. Without that early encouragement, this band might not even exist. We can't wait to show fans old and new what we can do!
