Hello world! My name is T WOO and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of Chicago, IL.

Feeling born a singing songwriter who surfaced from humble beginnings in Chicago, Illinois, T WOO, who’s birth name is Tawanda McCool, began writing about life experiences in her childhood. With a vivid sense of humor and colorful vision of life, I knew I was authentic and a forward visionary. Being on the path to discovery has been bitter and sweet that allows me to remain creatively inspired.

For years, I’ve made several recordings from songs I’ve written, recorded in professional studios, and recorded as a background and choir singer on other artists' projects. Now, I am excited to record professionally on a larger scale to reach the masses. In the past year, I sought to be the creatively fearless singing songwriter I was born to be and get out of my own way, but I know I need assistance to do so.

I’m extremely excited about the musical content that I’ve been working on and eagerly ready to pursue the next steps as an artist, but I’ll need your help!

I’ve got an assortment of original inordinate songs ready to record and this Plaid Dog campaign is the concluding step toward creating my own professional produced studio album.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Ryan Gallagher in Boston, MA. Ryan is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Ryan and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Sick & Tired,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Sick & Tired” on our own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of our project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We’ll start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album, hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements, and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

A well-recorded album would open a lot of doors for our group in terms of future opportunities, namely in securing larger venues and acquiring a wider listenership. We've made demo quality recordings in the past, but the world deserves only the best we can give: a professionally recorded, high-quality album that sounds the way we've always envisioned our music should sound. For those reasons and more, this project is critical to our future growth as a band. You have the power to help us make this project a reality!

Our families and friends have all been incredibly nurturing of our talents. Without that early encouragement this band might not even exist. We can't wait to show fans old and new what we can do!
