Hello, good people! My name is Robert Thomas Brannick. I'm a singer-songwriter from Golden, Colorado and this is my Plaid Dog Crowdfunding Campaign for my upcoming studio EP.

Ever since I can remember, music has captivated me. During the 90’s and early 2000’s,

I remember being polarized by the new pop and rock music that was coming to life.

This definitely didn’t go unnoticed in my young self. At the age of 9, I pretty much knew music would be my purpose.

Picking up the bass guitar at age 10, I would play nearly every day and just daydream at school about getting home to learn more songs and theory. At the age of 14-15, I was writing original music and was playing out with childhood friends who had also been apart of my early journey.

Unfortunately, at the age of 18, the outside pressures of getting an education, a house, and ultimately, safety, took place over music. For nearly 4 years, I didn’t touch an instrument or sing.

It was long after graduating college, I realized I wasn’t truly happy with the 9-5 life. I made an oath to myself at 23 that I would return to playing and really up the ante.

This moment truly changed my life because its the moment I stopped caring what others wanted me to do and gave me the courage to showcase what I love to do without fear.

Ten years later and I’m still here doing what I love. Writing music is something that is a part of me rather than a job or task. Catharsis in its purest form.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio EP.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded EP with Carter Sanders in Boston, MA. Carter is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Carter and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life.

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Closer,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Closer" on my own, to create an EP of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Carter and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the EP. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this EP. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the EP will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

The success of this project would literally mean everything to me. I've always dreamt of pursuing music professionally, but haven't had the resources to make it happen. With this campaign, I will be able to take the next step towards achieving my goal of playing music full time
