Hello world! My name is REVÉ and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of St. Louis.
I’ve been making music and performing around St. Louis for a few years: musical theatre, pandemic live streams, jazz festivals, holiday parties, fundraisers, or my favorite, my cozy concerts with just me and my guitar. After pouring my experiences and feelings into songwriting, into stories, into harmony, the only thing left is to share the sounds in my head and my heart with all of you.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Carter Sanders in Boston, MA. Carter is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Carter and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Home,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Home” on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Carter and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

Through the release of my first EP, 12:12, I was able to learn just how wonderful of an experience it is to share music that is relatable and extremely honest. Sharing that level of intimacy with people, who have know idea who I am, has the ability to shrink the world around all of us and it reminds us that we do not walk through life all by ourselves.

What I love about music, and other artistic processes, is the ability to collaborate with artists. There is so much to learn from others and what they do best. Coming from a theatre background, I know that a variation of skills and talent from multiple people only make projects incredible. Not only that, it allows other artists to work! I’m hoping to walk away from this particular process with not just some fantastic music, but with new collaborators in my network to work with moving forward. This is the kind of work that will not only challenge me but push me to grow as a singer, songwriter and vocal producer.

I've never made a music project of this caliber before! I’m taking a bold step to use what I know as a theatre artist, performer, director and musician to see this to the end.  With your support, I will be able to take that my drive and commitment into something new and beautiful that we can say we built together.
