Hello world! My name is RecordingRecords and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of Redmond UT.

Hey, my name is Raiden and I’ve been making music for years—or, making songs in my room deciding ultimately none of them should ever be heard until recently. Mostly due to my singing dilemma. I'm pretty much only self taught in everything that I know for music, including singing. So yes, some of my songs are with other singers because of it. But this time, I'm doing the singing! And I'm excited to be! It's taken a long time to be here doing this so I'm really choosing to go all in on it. I want to make music that's real and is meant to touch one's heart. I mean, I've been practicing in my room for years with making semi cringy yet catchy lyrics for this moment.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Ryan Gallagher  in Boston, MA. Ryan is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Ryan Gallagher and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “It’s With You,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "It’s With You” on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts.  and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

Without music, I feel like I’d be less than half of who I am. That's a crazy amount too. Plus, I think that's about the same for everyone. 

Music has the ability to make you feel whatever the song's vibe is. Sad to sad, happy to happy, and so forth. We listen to music to feel certain things, or because the lyrics/melody is catchy. I know that's what I do often.

But to me personally, I’ve always wanted to write songs that help people feel. Whether it's to be heard, feel less alone, or even just for some music to dance and sing to. I want to make songs that people want and need. It's my biggest dream to make a difference in the world and music is what I know I can do good with. Even if it's just a few minutes. It can change a life. Music changed my life.

If I never found hope in 1 song that some girl showed me, I wouldn’t even be alive right now. And it wasn’t some special sign that I'd fallen in love or anything. Just that I had more to live for then what I was willing to see. My whole perspective on life changed because of 1 song. Just 1. And someday I know someone out there may need my 1 song. 1 that will save them, and help them, and I plan to have it out ready to be heard when they need it most. That's why I make music.
