Hello world! My name is Mukti Garceau, and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of Swan Lake, New York.

I’ve been singing since I was a very little girl in Québec as I had a profound love for music at a very young age, coming from a family of musicians.  Studying for many years with many great teachers & went around the world to perform and it is my oh so very happy place.  Touching people’s heart with my voice is the greatest gift and it feels very clearly that this is the time to jump off that springboard, share my voice and make people smile and feel joy! Our world needs it more than ever.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Bryan Brundige in Boston, MA. Bryan is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Bryan and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Hang on Little Tomato,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Hang on Little Tomato" on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Bryan and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

Music is profoundly part of my DNA.  It imbues every part of my being and has done so since I was a little girl singing in church choirs, having piano lessons daily for years & performing recitals.  I truly believe that music will save our world and very possibly our species… there is so much going on as we are all trying to make sense of it all yet, there is one common denominator that joins us all, that connects all of our hearts and it is music.  Music is a balm for the heart and soul and from early on,  through my studies as a child and into adulthood at McGill University, there has been that consistent thread, this thread that unites all of us.  And the importance of sharing that gift is paramount.  Through my years of performing there is nothing quite as magical as seeing the faces in the audience, smiling, closing their eyes and letting the music embrace their heart. That, is all it’s about.  One of my wishes is that I can produce and perform more and more songs with wonderful new musicians and!! those I have performed, played and studied with through the years.  What a treat that would… will be!

Being both a singer and a voice over artist, I have produced, managed and executed a slew of projects from coast to coast & internationally, won awards along the way that have cheered my on to continue doing my very best, enjoy the ride & keep on keeping on at sharing my voice.  And at this time, getting to create my first album feels like a cherry on an ice cream sundae!  It makes my heart leap with joy.  With your support,  I truly feel that you are part of the making of this album, part of my team and that is absolutely priceless
