WOW! Thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign so far! I am so incredibly grateful and excited to make this album for you. Because I’ve made so much amazing progress so quickly, I’m hoping to add a BONUS TRACK! Any contribution goes a long way to making this album bigger and better than ever. Hello world! My name is Madison Krueger, and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of Nashville, TN.

I have been making music and performing ever since I could talk, from singing along with Disney movies and making up the words to leading worship for thousands, performing on hundreds of stages, and touring around Europe with University Chorale. These past few years have been full of adventure and chaos, but in the best way! I graduated college, got a pup, and made the move from Indianapolis to Nashville, TN. I have spent countless hours writing new material, learning new instruments, and finding my voice. After 24 years of creating and dreaming, I am so excited to finally be sharing my heart and soul with you all!

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Bryan Fennelly in Boston, MA. Bryan is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Bryan and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

While I haven’t made it to Boston yet due to the current health crisis, I will––and I know this album will be worth the wait! In the meantime, we’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing a demo of one song remotely, with the assistance of some pretty amazing technology.

This first song is called “Bad Habits,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Bad Habits" on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Bryan and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

Music is more than a career to me. Music unites. It overcomes language barriers, cultural differences, and universal divide. Music is a way to express my emotions and a safe place to admit what I’ve been struggling to put into words. It has taught me that vulnerability is a superpower and to find comfort outside of my comfort zone. It has reminded me that fear of failure will not define my actions. Music has instilled a desire to pursue my passions and dreams, no matter how unrealistic they may seem to the world. Music has been and will always be a part of me. 

This album has been a lifetime in the making! From writing break up songs at 2am and creating melodies in the shower, to recording in a studio and hearing others sing my lyrics, as much work as I have put into this album, it would not have been possible without all of the incredible people by my side. To the overly talented producers and musicians who tirelessly put in hours to make this girls vision come to life, to my family and friends who give me enough support and encouragement to last 3 lifetimes, to my boyfriend who loves unconditionally and values my dreams more than my paychecks, and above all, to my Heavenly Father who set this fire inside of me and continues to close doors and open bigger and better windows, I am so grateful.

Not only is this album a debut of my heart and soul, but the first step of creating a name for myself and my career as a musician. This album will bring opportunities including, but not limited to, playing more gigs, scheduling more co writes, and sharing my stories with dreamers alike! I am forever and eternally grateful for your contributions to not only this project, but to me as an artist. Thank you!
