Hi friends! I’m Kristina, an artist here in the beautiful city of Federal Way, WA.

I’ve been writing music ever since I was a child as a way to express my emotions when a simple conversation could not. I even produced an (albeit basic) album when I was in my teens! However, I never saw my musical talents as anything more than a little side hobby and internal passion. Life threw some curveballs at me, and soon music got placed on the back burner while I tended to more pressing matters.

Recently, though, circumstances have changed and I have been able to focus on music once more! Over the years I’ve written several songs and now I have the opportunity to make these songs come to life in a professionally produced studio album. But first, I need your help!

This Plaid Dog campaign is the final step to making my album (and my dreams) come true!

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Ryan Gallagher in Boston, MA. Ryan is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, we’re digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to help bring my songs to life.

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called ”Make You Stay”, and you can check it out below!

In order to create an entire album of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. That being said, this campaign can give you a unique opportunity to collaborate with me on making an album happen! Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We’ll be crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album, holding rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements, and talking through ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music - where the songs become what you'll hear in this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments and vocals, and each song will get mastered so the listening experience is cohesive from start to finish. Mixing and mastering is an absolutely essential step to creating a professional recording. It truly can be what makes or breaks a song.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

A well-recorded album would open a lot of doors to future opportunities for me, including acquiring a wider listenership, potentially leading to a steady career in music, the chance to collaborate with other established artists, and generally to continue creating musical works of art. I believe two things in life when it comes to endeavors: everyone deserves to follow their dreams, and it takes a village to make a dream come true! You guys are my village and I’m so excited to share in this process with you!
