Hello world! We are Jesse Taylor Band, and we’re a band in the beautiful city of Burlington, VT.

We’ve been making music and performing around Burlington for about a year now. Jesse began playing as a solo artist in 2015, performing at local coffee shops and bars around town. Although she sang in high school, she didn’t explore guitar or songwriting until her early twenties. Nick and Matt began their music journey in high school. The band formed and met in Burlington in 2018. We all have different musical backgrounds, but we come together with all of our influences, life experiences, and our passion for music and have created a unique sound. We have music that we are ready and excited to share with all of you. 

The material is ready! This crowdfunding campaign is the final step toward creating our first ever professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for our professionally recorded album with Mike Davidson, a Boston-based producer and engineer with 15+ years of experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, we are digging into our original material with Mike, writing arrangements, and developing new ideas.

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called "Adore You," and you can check it out below!

While we were able to fund the recording process for "Adore You" on our own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. We will sit down with Mike to start crafting the arrangements for each of the songs that will go on the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music. It’s where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture, and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change our lives.

Music is so important because for so many of us, it is self-expression in its true form. It’s a universal language, and it’s a way for all of us to relate on the fact that we are all humans that make mistakes and learn from them. I wrote my first song five years ago, and I finally feel ready to share my music with my community and beyond.

Songwriting is an important part of processing my thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I find that the more vulnerable and honest I am, in songwriting and in life, the more authentic connections I discover and the more people I reach. It’s imperative that we talk about our feelings because we are never alone and we can learn so much from each other. 

I have recorded before with local studios and at home, but always on a limited budget. I’m thrilled to branch out with this new experience-- using high quality equipment and facilities, collaborating with fantastic musicians and producers, and really bringing these songs to life. Performing music is one of the things that I know I am here on Earth to do. With your support, I’ll be able to create a project that I can feel proud of and that I can use to carve out a place for myself in the music industry.
