Hello Everyone! My name is Indigo, and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of Houston, Texas.

I've been making music for my entire life. From Church choirs and school bands in my hometown of Buffalo, NY, to the the music program at Schreiner University and teaching lessons, to performing and composing here in Houston, Tx, I make music everywhere I go. I've been working hard to learn my craft and make music that connects people. Now, I'm ready for the next step: to record that music and share it with all of you!

The material is ready, the musicians are waiting--this Plaid Dog crowdfunding campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever professionally-produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Mike Davidson, a Boston-based producer and engineer with 15+ years of experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Mike and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

I’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called "All at Once"  and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "All at Once" on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Mike and I will start crafting the arrangements for each of the songs that will go on the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music. It’s where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every musician.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture, and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end, so the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

Music has the ability to connect people all over the world through expression. My bigger goal in making music has always been to help people connect with one another and to give a voice to those thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words. 

As a young person dealing with anxiety and depression, as well as a naturally more reserved personality, I quickly found music to be the voice when it was hard to use my voice. Music helped me to make friends, to express myself, and process my emotions. Growing as a live performer and a songwriter has helped me to create the confidence I needed to grow as an individual, and to stand on my own when I needed to the most. To me, music is a metaphor for life: You may not know much when you start, and you will most certainly not be great at the very beginning; but with practice, perseverance, and a unique perspective that only you possess, you can create something memorable that touches others as well as yourself. 

While I may not have made a professional project at this level quite yet, I am extremely confident in my ability to create something special. Thanks to the experiences I've had with music, from conquering a number of pieces on 3 different instruments at my Senior Music Recital, to multiple choir performances, and even performing overseas — this is the opportunity that I have been building toward, and I want to thank you for helping me to reach this goal.
