Hello world! My name is Celeste Love Ramirez, and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas.

I’ve been in love with music & singing for my entire life: singing for my church’s youth choir with my dad, weddings & quinceaneras, recording vocals for my dad’s music, playing out in the streets of downtown San Antonio, and more praise & worship events than I can count. I’ve spent a lifetime learning, practicing, and maturing in my sound, and I am ready as ever to take off on my amazing journey as a Christian singer-songwriter.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Bryan Fennelly in Boston, MA. Bryan is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Bryan and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

Earlier this year, I set the process in motion to make this album with Bryan and Plaid Dog. I wanted to share a taste of this record with you all, so I made plans to travel to Boston and record my new single, “Your Table.” As my travel date approached, things really took a turn with the pandemic crisis. While I haven’t made it to Boston yet, I will––and I know this album will be worth the wait!

In the meantime, with the assistance of some pretty amazing technology, Bryan helped me record a demo of my song, “Your Table,” remotely! You can check out the demo below for free!

I’ve been able to cover this initial recording process for "Your Table,” but in order to complete a high-quality album with full production, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Bryan and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

Music is often the link that brings people together. It opens up pathways to the heart for healing, for peace, and for love. After a decade of singing for my Church community, I can now see the transformative power music has, and much more when dedicated for God’s greater good.  Music is unitive, collective--I’ve felt so supported by my worship team who always pushes me to be better, my high school friends who were there for my first performances, my family for giving me the inspiration to pick up an instrument & exercise my creative muscles, and the Church, for without it, I would not have developed a love for music ministry. Music is about community and connection. I hope this project is a result of that.

I’ve come a long way from recording demos at 1:00am in my dad’s studio, and I’ve released a couple of great tracks that way, but I’ve never been able to manage and execute a project of this caliber before. Since my last creative project, I’ve been deepening my focus and practicing day in and day out. With your support, I will transfer all my work and experience into something entirely new and beautiful that we’ve made happen together!
