Hello world! We are Beaver Feet, a father and son songwriting team from beautiful New England.

We have always gravitated towards music as entertainment, or remedy or as soundtrack to life’s adventures. What started out as a few guitars and some friends around a campfire has turned into some actual music. Those campfire sessions gave life to a tongue and cheek band named Beaver Feet. In the summer of 2025 we wrote our first original song called Don’t Lose Yourself, an ode to maintaining your identity through difficult times and it led to more ideas and more songs and loads of encouragement from our friends and family to make more music.

We self recorded and distributed two originals, not difficult arrangements mind you although heartfelt and well received. While pitching those songs we met and networked with a lot of talented people until one day we were introduced to Plaid Dog Recording. It really opened our eyes to what our music could be capable partnering with a professional recording studio.

After our first session with Ryan Gallagher we were buoyed. The energy and creativity in collaborating with Ryan was as rewarding as it was inspiring. This music, our music, with the help of Plaid Dog is the real deal and we are over the moon for the opportunity as well as excited about the potential reach and success of these songs.

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album

This campaign is raising funds for our professionally recorded album with Ryan Gallagher  in Boston, MA. Ryan is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together,  we  are digging into our original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Do Cowboys Ever Cry,” and you can check it out below!

While We've been able to fund the recording process for "Do Cowboys Ever Cry” on our own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of our project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts.  and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

So far the response and encouragement to our music has been overwhelming. Yeah, yeah we know friends and family may be biased although we are approaching 10K streams on streaming platforms in just four months and have had songs approvingly evaluated by music publishers, studios, musicians and artists and two great reviews from the Nashville Songwriters Association International. 

Throughout this journey we have met some amazing people and have had so many passionate conversations about the creative process, what inspires, the nuts and bolts of producing and distributing and ultimately how music moves us, people.   

To be able to develop something that stirs emotion in another person is very powerful. It’s forever been the sustenance of writers and poets and playwrights and songwriters and even lovers. 

To be a part of that and to be able to share all of that with all of you as we navigate the path would be a truly rewarding experience.  We want you to share in our passion, be a part of that creative energy and when you finally see your name in the liner notes know that you were part of something larger than all of us. 

We don’t know the fate of these songs although we are confident that they need to be brought to life and you have our commitment that we will work very hard to ensure their ultimate success. We would truly enjoy having you and your support and encouragement along for the ride.
