Hello world! We are Ariel Casey Acoustic and we’re a band from Alabama the beautiful.

Some people have to really work at what they want in life. Some just fall into it naturally. Somewhere in the middle of that pendulum, is us, Ariel Casey Acoustic. Combining raw talent and sheer grit, I’ve managed to carve out a space for my passion in this crazy industry. My husband, Josh, never wanted to see me give up. He’s the one who put a guitar back in my hands after a [many years] hiatus and said ,”Singing karaoke isn’t going to cut it.” He pushed me to pour back into myself, the way I’ve poured into so many others. So that’s what I did. I connected with our local music community, put in the leg work to form connections and got in touch with venues. I asked those venue owners to take a chance on me. My God, did they. We’ve been full-time performers for almost two years now; I never could’ve predicted the success that we’ve experienced so far. Now, it’s time to take this passion to the next level with a recorded studio album. I can’t make this journey without you though. The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating my first ever, professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for our professionally recorded album with Carter Sanders in Boston, MA. Carter is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, we’re digging into our original material, writing arrangements, and bringing the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Babies Don’t Keep,” and you can check it out below!

While we’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Babies Don’t” on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Together we’ll start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

I think we all know what it’s like to dream. How often do you get to see someone’s dream unfold right before them? Even moreso, how often do you get to be a part of that?

I’ve spent years pouring my heart into lyrics. Trying to find the right melody to portray the emotions I experience. Writing songs that resonate with others. This is literally a lifelong passion coming to fruition. This album is the beginning of my musical legacy. I don’t know that I possess the words to portray the impact it will have…seeing this project through. For the first time, maybe ever, I’m showing up for me. I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on. I hope as a mother, daughter, friend, even lover, it resonates with some part of you. I can't thank you enough for coming on this journey with us.
