Hello world! My name is Ally Ramos and I'm a singer-songwriter here in the beautiful city of New York  NY.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Queens, I'm Ally Ramos, a mom and aspiring powerhouse singer diving deep into the Neo-Soul music scene. I've written most of my soulful, heartfelt songs, drawing inspiration from my busy life with 13 pets. Balancing motherhood and my music career, I'm determined to bring authenticity and depth to Neo-Soul. I know I'm destined to become a leading voice in the genre.

I have embarked on a musical journey begun amidst the vibrant rhythms and rich culture of my homeland. Ten years ago, I ventured to Long Island, where I continued to cultivate my love for music. Training in the art of singing for over a decade, I recently embarked on my  journey as a solo artist. Creating original compositions and heartfelt lyrics embracing a love for exploration.

I have ventured into new genres, weaving together a tapestry of sound that defies convention and captivates the soul. From the bustling streets of NYC to stages across the city, bringing my captivating melodies to life with each performance.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Mike Davidson in Boston, MA. Mike is a seasoned Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Mike and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to local musicians to bring the songs to life. 

We’ve been able to cover the costs of recording and producing one song, which is ready for you to check out right here on this page. This first song is called “Full Moon Phase,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Full Moon Phase” on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Mike and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.

Music has always been more than just a passion for me; it’s been a lifeline. As a single mom, juggling responsibilities can be overwhelming, but music has always provided me with an outlet, a way to express my deepest emotions and find solace in the midst of chaos. Every note I sing and every lyric I write reflects my journey, my struggles, and my triumphs.

Creating an EP has always been a dream, but the opportunity to work with Plaid Dog Studio, a professional music studio, is a chance to bring that dream to life in ways I never imagined possible. This project isn’t just about making music; it’s about making my voice heard, sharing my story with the world, and inspiring others who might be on a similar path.

Working with a professional studio will elevate my music to new heights, allowing me to produce high-quality tracks that truly capture the essence of my experiences. This EP will be a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and passion, and it will mark a significant milestone in my music career.
