Grand Day Beautiful Souls! 🌞 How are you feeling today?

My name is Alessandra, and I'm a singer-songwriter presently living in Jersey City right outside NYC.  I was raised in New York. One of the most amazing cities in the world! This is where I developed my inspiration and zest for life. New York is a mecca for culture and diversity and that’s what I love most about it, it’s a Melting Pot of great spirit! 

Being accepted to LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts gave me the understanding early on that I was destined to be creative in my life pursuit.  I have many teachers and mentors to thank for guiding me towards recognizing my strengths and weaknesses as an artist and musician.  To this day I lean back on their words and direction.  

I wrote my first song at the age of 13 years old. “I wish I never met you”.  It was about a boy that caused a breakup in my friendship with my best friend.  I continued to write all through my teens as I was learning to develop and finally in 2006 released my first debut EP entitled, “World Gone Crazy, following with a 2009 album release entitled “Illusions” and most recently in 2018 released, “Revelations”. Between the first EP in 2006 and the last album in 2018, I continuously discover and learn more about myself through life experience, trial and error which then reflects the world that surrounds me.  I am learning to be even more loving, clear, compassionate, patient, understanding and aim to connect, be present and conscientious as I continue to share & evolve in this creative space sharing insights, music and resonance.

I have been a working musician and entrepreneur since 2015 working as an artist & musician for hire.  There are opportunities for musicians to work and make a living, we just have to seek them out.  That’s exactly what I did! I contacted booking agencies, nursing homes, rehabs, organizations, schools, local pubs, restaurants, festivals, and even did street performances, you name it!  Anywhere I could potentially play music to make a living. This way, my energy was going towards building a life around the things I love which is music.  Balancing my performances with being creative and recording takes lots of persistence and hard work.  However, this is what I was born to do. To share my experiences with you in song and music in hopes that it will inspire, motivate and encourage others through positive change all around the world. 

The material is ready, and the musicians are waiting -- this Plaid Dog campaign is the final step toward creating yet another professionally produced studio album.

This campaign is raising funds for my professionally recorded album with Carter Sanders in Boston, MA. Carter is a Boston-based producer and engineer with experience working with both established and up-and-coming musicians. Together, Carter and I are digging into my original material, writing arrangements, and reaching out to our network of musicians to bring the songs to life.

This first song is called “Trust,” and you can check it out below!

While I’ve been able to fund the recording process for "Trust" on my own, to create an album of songs of this quality, studio costs add up quickly. With that said, this campaign can give us a unique opportunity to collaborate and make great art together. Your donation will cover the following costs of my project:

1. Pre-Production: This is where everything starts. Carter and I will start crafting the arrangements for each song slated for the album. We’ll hold rehearsals to fine-tune the songs and arrangements and talk through new and exciting ideas for how to approach the recording process.

2. Recording: This is when we enter the studio and start capturing the music and where the songs become what you'll hear on this album. This campaign will play a huge role in making sure we have enough time to capture great performances for every member of the band.

3. Mixing & Mastering: Each track will get mixed to create the right balance between instruments, texture and color that make up a track. As a final step, the album will be mastered from beginning to end so that the listening experience is cohesive and carefully choreographed from start to finish.

It's hard to express how much this project would change my life.
Firstly, I will be continuing to fulfill my dreams of being a creative artist able to share music with themes that I feel are healing, uniting and expressing sensitivities that are crucial for these times in the world.  Songs that allow self reflection, self empowerment,  self motivation and much more.  Music is a source of life for the world at large and I feel so blessed that I have been able to share & create this energy with the musicians I work with & the community I am able to share it with.  As we all move forward in this new world, my hope is that we create a network and community of relationships that push us to grow out of our comfort zones so that we can reach our highest potentials as we learn and rise up as the collective.  With your support, I will channel that consistent work and experience into something new and beautiful that we have made together.
